Likewise Group is expanding its UK distribution network to support annual revenue of more than £250 million by the end of 2026.
The flooring distributor reported revenue of £163.1 million for the year ended 31 December 2025, up 9% from £149.8 million a year earlier. Trading has strengthened since then, with like-for-like sales increasing by 16.5% in the year to date and May sales rising by 19.1% against the same month in 2025.
The company is now investing in warehouses, cutting facilities and delivery vehicles to support higher sales volumes. These projects are intended to increase capacity, improve regional coverage and reduce operational constraints as the business grows.
An extension to the Newport distribution centre is expected to begin operating in July 2026. Valley Wholesale Carpets has also added cutting capacity in Derby, while Likewise acquired an additional warehouse in Leeds during May. The Leeds site will create a second distribution centre in Yorkshire.
Likewise is also carrying out legal due diligence on the proposed purchase of a 60,000 square foot high-bay distribution centre in the East Midlands. If completed, the acquisition would strengthen the group’s position in central England and provide further room for growth.
The delivery fleet is expanding at the same time. Likewise expects to operate more than 160 trucks during 2026 as it adds new vehicles and replaces older units. This gives the company more control over deliveries and service levels, although it also increases the capital required to support the network.
The group has built its national infrastructure since 2021 through distribution hubs in Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow and logistics centres in London, Newbury, Manchester, Newcastle and Plymouth. Its acquisition of Valley Wholesale Carpets in January 2022 added operations in London, Derby and Newport.
The business operates through its main sales divisions, Likewise Floors and Valley, alongside brands including A&A, Delta, H&V Carpets, Floors by Lewis Abbott and Likewise Rugs and Matting. It supplies carpets, vinyl, laminate, rugs, matting and other residential and commercial flooring products.
