ITcare expands its DDoS defence capability with Corero partnership

Corero Network Security

ITcare has added Corero Network Security to its partner ecosystem, widening the company’s ability to support customers facing distributed denial-of-service risk across complex network environments. ITcare is continuing to build a more flexible service platform around the operational needs of internet service providers, data centres, cloud providers and hosting businesses.

DDoS protection is not a single-product challenge. Network operators often need a mix of detection, mitigation, deployment flexibility and ongoing operational support. ITcare’s decision to partner with Corero reflects that reality. Corero’s SmartWall ONE platform is described as an always-on, automated DDoS detection and mitigation system that can identify and filter attacks in seconds. It is also designed to adapt around existing network architecture, including deployment models that integrate directly with existing hardware and use router silicon for line-rate scrubbing without adding a separate appliance.

Many infrastructure operators are under pressure to improve resilience without introducing unnecessary complexity. A DDoS protection model that can work with current hardware may reduce friction in deployment and make adoption easier for customers with established network environments. For ITcare, the partnership gives its engineering and operations teams another option when designing protection strategies around each customer’s architecture, rather than relying on a single standardised approach.

Corero Network Security plc (LON:CNS) is a global provider of automated business continuity and network security solutions.
