Ilika’s Stereax solid state batteries are set to receive further exposure in the medical device sector when the technology is represented by Cirtec Medical at MEDevice Silicon Valley in November.
The event takes place on 18 and 19 November 2026 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Silicon Valley, bringing together medical device manufacturers, engineers, suppliers and other industry participants. Ilika said Cirtec Medical will represent its Stereax solid state batteries at the event.
The appearance comes as Ilika continues to develop the commercial potential of its Stereax technology, which is designed for active implantable medical devices and industrial wireless sensors. The company operates an asset-light model in which its intellectual property is licensed to manufacturing partners, while it continues to develop and improve its solid state battery technology.
For Ilika, the relationship with Cirtec has moved beyond development and technology transfer into commercial activity during 2026. In January, Ilika announced its first revenue-generating purchase order from Cirtec for Stereax electrodes. The order followed two years of development work and successful prototype delivery, with the electrodes intended to support production of Stereax M300 batteries.
Ilika subsequently confirmed in March that it had completed its first commercial delivery of Stereax electrodes to Cirtec. The electrodes are being used in Stereax M300 batteries for validation and customer sampling across a range of active implantable medical device applications. These include implanted sensors, neurostimulators, orthopaedic implants, orthodontic wearables and ophthalmology devices.
The upcoming MEDevice event therefore provides an opportunity for the Stereax technology to be presented directly to companies operating across the medical device supply chain. The event is expected to attract more than 1,500 attendees and over 140 exhibitors, with its programme focused on medical device development, manufacturing, technology and industry relationships.
