Ilika starts commercial supply to Cirtec

Ilika Plc

Ilika has entered the commercial phase of its partnership with Cirtec Medical, following receipt of a first purchase order for its Stereax battery electrodes. This order moves the relationship beyond joint development and into revenue-generating activity, marking the beginning of Ilika’s commercial delivery of solid-state battery components for medical applications.

Cirtec will integrate the Stereax electrodes into its battery manufacturing line at its facility in Massachusetts. These batteries are designed for use in implantable medical devices, including neurostimulators, orthopaedic implants and continuous monitoring systems. Ilika will continue to manufacture the electrodes at its UK site, supplying Cirtec as production ramps up.

This shift follows two years of technical collaboration, including successful prototype deliveries and the transfer of key manufacturing knowledge. Ilika retains ownership of the electrode fabrication process, while Cirtec manages battery assembly and end-market integration. The first order confirms that the partnership has moved from validation to execution.

Ilika plc (LON:IKA) is a pioneer in solid state battery technology enabling solutions for applications in Industrial IoT, MedTech, Electric Vehicles and Consumer Electronics.
