Ilika moves into commercial phase with first Stereax electrode order

Ilika Plc

Ilika has entered commercial production of its Stereax solid-state battery technology, securing an initial order for battery electrodes from Cirtec Medical.

The order covers electrodes for the M300 microbattery, designed specifically for applications such as neurostimulators, orthopaedic implants and other active devices requiring compact, high-performance power sources. Until now, Ilika’s involvement with Cirtec had focused on development and technology transfer.

Manufacturing of the electrodes will remain in the UK, while final assembly takes place at Cirtec’s Massachusetts facility. This structure allows Ilika to retain control of its core technology and maintain flexibility, while benefiting from Cirtec’s scale and established infrastructure in the US.

Ilika plc (LON:IKA) is a pioneer in solid state battery technology enabling solutions for applications in Industrial IoT, MedTech, Electric Vehicles and Consumer Electronics.
