Hercules builds energy infrastructure order book with £3.4 million contract wins

Hercules’ subsidiary Advantage NRG has secured two new contracts worth a combined £3.4 million for work on the National Grid electricity transmission network.

The larger contract is valued at approximately £2.6 million and is already under way in the East of England. Work is expected to continue until the end of June 2027, with the workforce set to increase to around 18 operatives at peak delivery.

The second contract is worth approximately £800,000 and covers work in North Wales between July and October 2026. Around 13 operatives are expected to support the project.

The awards take the total value of contracts secured by Advantage NRG during the 2026 financial year to approximately £20.8 million.

Advantage NRG joined Hercules in June 2025. The business supplies specialist overhead linesmen and teams for the construction, maintenance and upgrade of electricity transmission infrastructure.

The contracts are linked to essential electricity network work, an area where specialist labour and technical capability are important. Advantage NRG’s ability to provide trained overhead line workers gives Hercules access to a market with high operational requirements and limited tolerance for delivery delays.
