Meridian Holdings (NASDAQ: MRDN) has launched Expanse Studios’ gaming content with its first licensed operator in Sweden, marking its first revenue-generating deployment in the country.
The launch activates a software provider licence granted by the Swedish Gambling Authority in December 2025, which remains valid until December 2030. The agreement moves Expanse from regulatory approval to active commercial operations in the Swedish market.
Expanse Studios develops and distributes online gaming content, including slots, crash games, turn-based strategy games and card games. Its portfolio includes almost 100 proprietary titles distributed to more than 1,800 online casino brands worldwide.
The Swedish launch expands Expanse’s presence across regulated markets, with content certifications covering 14 jurisdictions across Europe, Latin America and Africa. Sweden provides another market in which the company can build distribution through locally licensed operators.
The operator involved in the Swedish launch has not been named, and Meridian has not disclosed the financial terms or projected revenue from the agreement.
The expansion supports Meridian’s strategy of growing its business-to-business gaming operations alongside its consumer-facing betting business. Further growth will depend on securing additional operator partnerships, expanding distribution and generating demand for its games.
Meridian Holdings plc (formally Golden Matrix Group Inc.) (Nasdaq:MRDN) positions itself as a leader in the iGaming technology space, offering casino, sportsbook, and competition products and combining cutting-edge solutions with a strong portfolio of partnerships to drive growth and innovation in the digital gaming market.
