Empire Metals wins Exploration Discovery of the Year for Pitfield titanium project

Empire Metals

Empire Metals Limited (LON:EEE, OTCQX: EPMLF), has announced it has been awarded the Exploration Discovery of the Year Award at Resourcing Tomorrow’s Outstanding Achievement Awards Ceremony, in London, for its Pitfield titanium project, located in Western Australia.

The Exploration Discovery of the Year Award is presented to the projects identified in the past 12 months as having the greatest potential to develop into significant mines.

During this time, Empire Metals has demonstrated the immense potential of the Pitfield project through a product development testwork programme, which delivered a very high-purity TiO2 product assaying at 99.25% TiO2, in addition to a series of successful drill campaigns. These resulted in the recently announced Mineral Resource Estimate of 2.2 billion tonnes grading 5.1% TiO2 for 113 million tonnes of contained TiO2, confirming Pitfield as one of the largest and highest titanium resources reported globally.

Empire was delighted to be recognised for this award, alongside FTSE 100 Endeavour Mining plc.
