Emerald Resources has taken a major step forward at its Memot Gold Project in Cambodia, increasing the gold resource by 27% to 1.7 million ounces and securing all key mining permits. These developments significantly reduce risk and move the project closer to production.
The upgraded resource includes 45 million tonnes at 1.2 grams per tonne, with 1.2 million ounces now classified as Indicated. This higher-confidence category strengthens the foundation for mine planning and future economic studies. A core zone of higher-grade mineralisation, 21.6 million tonnes at 1.8 grams per tonne, could support stronger early cash flow if prioritised in production schedules. The deposit remains open in several directions, with more drilling underway and the potential for further growth in 2026.
The company has received both the Industrial Mining Licence and a long-term Mineral Investment Agreement for Memot. These approvals grant a 15-year operating term with extensions available, and include tax and duty concessions that could improve project returns.
