Corero Network Security will take part in a webinar on 16 September 2026 focused on the growing threat from distributed denial of service attacks and the need for faster, automated protection.
The session, titled “Why DDoS Protection Matters More Now Than Ever”, will feature Corero Chief Executive Officer Carl Herberger alongside TierPoint Chief Information Security Officer Paul Mazzucco. The discussion will examine why DDoS attacks are becoming more disruptive and how organisations can better protect internet-facing services.
The key issue is the increasing scale, speed and frequency of attacks. DDoS incidents are designed to overwhelm online infrastructure with traffic, making websites, applications or other services unavailable to legitimate users. As attacks become more intense and develop more quickly, organisations have less time to detect a problem and respond before disruption occurs.
This increases the importance of always-on detection. Continuous monitoring allows suspicious traffic to be identified as it develops, rather than relying on a response after services have already been affected. The webinar will also focus on automated mitigation, which is designed to respond to attacks without waiting for manual intervention.
