Cooks Coffee expands Esquires footprint as Sales Growth Continues

Cooks Coffee

Cooks Coffee Company has started its 2027 financial year with further growth across its Esquires Coffee business in the UK and Ireland, supported by higher sales, more stores and positive like-for-like trading.

Systemwide store sales rose 14% in the three months ended 30 June 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier. The increase came despite unusually hot weather, which can reduce demand for traditional hot coffee products.

The Esquires network also expanded to 110 stores across the UK and Ireland by the end of June, up from 96 a year earlier. That represents a 14.6% increase in the size of the estate.

Like-for-like sales at existing locations also remained positive, showing that established stores continued to generate higher customer spending while the group added new sites. That reduces the risk of expansion masking weaker underlying trading. A growing store estate can lift total sales even when existing locations are under pressure, but positive like-for-like performance suggests that the current network is continuing to support the wider growth strategy.

Over the 12 months to 30 June 2026, systemwide store sales increased by 19.3%. The latest quarter therefore extends a period of sustained sales growth while Cooks Coffee continues to increase the scale of the Esquires brand.
