Cerillion deepens role in MVNX’s African expansion strategy

Cerillion

Cerillion has become a core technology partner to MVNX as the South African Mobile Virtual Network Enabler prepares to extend its model into other African markets.

MVNX CEO Valde Ferradaz said the company identified several years ago that mobile operators and service providers would need more than traditional telecoms billing. The market was moving towards converged services combining telecoms, fintech, value-added services and potentially utilities under a single customer account.

That requirement led MVNX to seek a platform with strong billing, charging, CRM and product catalogue capabilities. Rather than building these systems itself, MVNX chose to work with Cerillion and rely on its continuing technology development.

The decision has given MVNX a platform that can support multiple products and services through a central catalogue. Products can be configured once and then reused across different MVNO customers, reducing the need to rebuild the proposition for each new deployment.

The company can show prospective customers how an MVNO service would operate within their existing product portfolio, configure the service in a demonstration environment and then move through staging to production.

Cerillion plc (LON:CER) is a leading provider of billing, charging and customer management systems with more than 20 years’ experience delivering its solutions across a broad range of industries including the telecommunications, finance, utilities and transportation sectors.
