Ampeak Energy is progressing two complementary parts of its renewable energy portfolio as it moves towards a broader operating model built around electricity generation and energy storage.

The company reported that its MeyGen tidal stream project generated 732 MWh of renewable electricity during June 2026. MeyGen produces electricity from ocean currents, offering a form of renewable generation that is predictable because tidal movements can be forecast well in advance.

The June output demonstrates the continuing role of MeyGen within Ampeak Energy’s portfolio. The project gives the company direct exposure to tidal stream generation while supporting the development of an established operating record for the technology. Regular production data also provides a practical measure of asset activity as Ampeak Energy continues to position MeyGen as a renewable electricity source connected to the natural timing of tidal flows.

Alongside tidal generation, Ampeak Energy is approaching an important stage in the construction of its AW1 Battery Storage project. Construction is nearing completion, and the project remains scheduled to begin operations in the first quarter of 2027.

The start of operations at AW1 is expected to introduce a significant new revenue stream. This would broaden Ampeak Energy’s activities beyond project development and tidal electricity generation, while giving the company a direct operational interest in battery storage.
