Alien Metals Limited (LON:UFO) has announced that its joint venture partner in the Elizabeth Hill Silver Project, West Coast Silver Limited (ASX: WCE), has changed its board of directors.
Vincent Fayad, Alien’s Chief Executive Officer, has been appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of West Coast Silver. As previously announced, Mr Fayad has over 20 years of listed company experience, including in management and strategic direction.
Bruce Garlick has been appointed Executive Director, Corporate, of West Coast Silver, having previously served as its Executive Chairman. Mr Garlick has advised he will step down from the board of West Coast Silver on 5 November 2026. As announced by Alien on 16 July 2026, Mr Garlick was due to step down as a Non-Executive Director of Alien on 7 October 2026. In light of his expanded executive responsibilities at West Coast Silver, and following an orderly handover of his responsibilities at Alien, he has agreed with the Alien Board that he will step down as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.
Following Mr Garlick stepping down from the board of Alien, the appointment of Mr Fayad to the board of West Coast Silver will ensure that Alien continues to have a role in that company, allowing Alien to oversee the development and progression of its Elizabeth Hill joint venture.
In addition, West Coast Silver has announced that it has appointed Sergei Smolonogov to its board as Executive Director & Chief Technical Officer. Mr Smolonogov is part of the current West Coast Silver management team and brings extensive technical expertise, most recently as General Manager Growth at Adriatic Metals plc, where he led its resource growth and development, before its US$1.3 billion takeover in 2025.
Commenting, Michael Carter, Non-executive Chairman of Alien Metals, said:
“West Coast Silver is an important joint venture partner for Alien through our shared interests in the Elizabeth Hill Silver Project. I would like to thank Bruce for his contribution to the Company and I wish him well in his future endeavors.”
