Adaptix has expanded its presence in the US through a new distribution partnership with Digital X-Ray Technologies (DXT), giving the medical imaging company an additional route to market for its Ortho350 system.
The agreement appoints DXT as an official US distributor of the Adaptix Ortho350, covering the West Coast and Pacific Islands. DXT specialises in orthopaedic medical imaging equipment and will supply the system to medical professionals across its territory.
The partnership gives Adaptix access to DXT’s existing customer base and sales network as the company develops its US operations. Adaptix said the agreement strengthens its presence in the US and expands its offering into key states.
The Ortho350 uses low-dose digital tomosynthesis to produce high-resolution three-dimensional images. The system is designed for musculoskeletal imaging and provides clinicians with three-dimensional views of bone and soft tissue structures.
Adaptix says the technology can provide more detailed imaging than conventional X-ray while reducing radiation exposure and operating costs compared with CT-based imaging. The system is designed to bring three-dimensional diagnostic imaging into clinical settings, potentially allowing orthopaedic professionals to carry out imaging within their own practices.
Adaptix Commercial Director Chris Rogers said the partnership would strengthen the company’s presence in the US as it expands its offering in key states. DXT said the Ortho350 would allow musculoskeletal professionals, from individual practices to larger orthopaedic groups, to provide multi-dimensional diagnostic imaging in clinic.
