A Zambian lime producer meeting industrial-grade standards at scale

Firering Strategic Minerals plc

Limeco Resources has positioned itself as Zambia’s most reliable manufacturer of Quick Lime, supplying Calcium Oxide at industrial scale from its purpose-built facility in Lusaka. The company’s focus is clear; consistent chemical purity, efficient logistics, and production standards that meet or exceed regional and export requirements.

While much of the regional supply is still produced through open kilns or legacy combustion systems, Limeco uses a gasified coal kiln, a controlled, cleaner-burning system that results in a more stable product. With a CaO content exceeding 85%, the company’s output meets the quality thresholds required for demanding applications such as copper smelting, mineral separation, water treatment, and heavy construction.

Production capacity is robust, with systems in place to maintain output even during supply fluctuations. The company’s operations are led by a team with deep technical experience, ensuring quality control is maintained across every stage. That reliability is a key factor for industrial buyers operating in tight supply environments, particularly across the Copperbelt and the Democratic Republic of Congo, where logistical bottlenecks can slow project timelines.

Firering Strategic Minerals increased its stake in Limeco Resources to 30.7% after exercising two tranches of its option.

Firering Strategic Minerals plc (LON:FRG) is an emerging quicklime producer and critical minerals explorer, with operations in Zambia and West Africa.
