Valeura Energy drives production gains from Thailand infill campaign

Valeura Energy

Valeura Energy has increased oil production across its Thai offshore portfolio following a targeted infill drilling programme, reinforcing its focus on extracting additional value from existing assets.

The campaign centred on drilling new wells into previously underdeveloped sections of producing fields, using established platforms and infrastructure. This approach allowed the company to bring incremental volumes online quickly while limiting capital exposure and operational complexity.

At the Manora field, Valeura drilled three wells from the existing platform and brought all into production. The wells have contributed to higher output levels and provide further support for the field’s reservoir model. The results indicate that additional recoverable volumes remain accessible within the asset, supporting the case for continued infill activity.

Across the wider portfolio, the programme has delivered a broader uplift in production. The consistency of results suggests that Valeura’s subsurface understanding is improving, which may reduce uncertainty in future development planning.

Valeura Energy Inc (TSX:VLE) is an upstream oil & gas company, with a clear strategy to add value for shareholders. The Company has a strong balance sheet positioning it for potential inorganic growth opportunities in the near/medium-term, and substantial longer-term upside potential through an operated deep, tight gas play.
