Revolution Medicines advances cancer drug pipeline as European launch plans take shape

BIOG

Revolution Medicines is advancing its clinical development programme while preparing for the potential expansion of its commercial operations in Europe, following progress with RASONQUE, its treatment for metastatic pancreatic cancer. The company’s latest clinical developments and regulatory progress mark an important stage in its efforts to establish a broader presence in targeted cancer therapies.

The biotechnology company is developing medicines aimed at RAS-driven cancers, which include pancreatic and lung cancers. Its approach centres on inhibiting RAS signalling, a pathway involved in tumour growth.

The company has also begun treating patients in a new Phase 3 trial, RASolve 308, evaluating zoldonrasib in combination with pembrolizumab and chemotherapy as a first-line treatment for metastatic RAS G12D non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer. The study extends Revolution Medicines’ clinical development activities beyond pancreatic cancer and could help establish the role of its RAS-targeted medicines in additional cancer indications.

The development follows progress with RASONQUE, also known as daraxonrasib, which received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration in August 2026 for eligible adults with metastatic pancreatic cancer. The treatment is an oral RAS inhibitor designed to block proteins involved in cancer cell growth and survival.

On 15 October, the European Medicines Agency’s Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use recommended granting marketing authorisation for RASONQUE in the European Union. The recommendation covers adults with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma who have received at least one previous systemic treatment.

Biotech Growth Trust has exposure to Revolution Medicines through its portfolio holding in the company, giving shareholders indirect exposure to its clinical development progress and the potential commercial contribution of RASONQUE.

Biotech Growth Trust plc (LON:BIOG) seeks capital appreciation through investment in the worldwide biotechnology industry. The Company and the Company’s Portfolio Manager believe that there is a high congruence between companies that seek to act responsibly and those that succeed in building long-term shareholder value.
