Record plc has appointed Albert Soleiman as Chief Financial Officer and a member of its board, effective 28 September 2026, as the specialist currency and asset manager develops its broader financial services offering.
Soleiman brings more than 20 years of experience across financial services, fintech, digital assets, proprietary trading technology and listed companies. A chartered accountant, he began his career in tax advisory at KPMG and William Buck in Australia before moving to the UK, where he held roles at Bitfury, CMC Markets and The Smarter Web Company.
He previously served as CFO of CMC Markets, overseeing finance, capital management and strategic initiatives at the financial services and trading technology group, which operates in 17 countries and serves more than 1.5 million clients.
Record Chairman David Morrison said Soleiman’s experience would support the group’s next stage of development as it expands beyond its specialist currency management business into asset management, private markets and technology-enabled currency services.
Morrison also highlighted Soleiman’s capital markets expertise, international regulatory experience and understanding of technology-driven trading businesses as relevant to developing Record’s frontier-market currencies offering and scaling its existing operations.
The appointment comes as Record seeks to balance its established cash-generative activities with higher-growth opportunities, making financial management and capital allocation important as the group develops its business mix.
Record plc (LON:REC) develops bespoke, high-quality, sophisticated solutions for institutional investors, a unique offering stemming from Record’s knowledge and expertise gained from its core currency hedging markets.
