KEFI notes Ethiopia-Cyprus diplomatic progress

Kefi-Gold-and-Copper-plc

KEFI Gold and Copper has welcomed the strengthening relationship between Ethiopia and Cyprus following the launch of the countries’ first bilateral political consultations.

The development is relevant to KEFI because Executive Chairman Harry Anagnostaras-Adams also serves as Honorary Consul of Ethiopia to Cyprus.

KEFI is active in Ethiopia through its Tulu Kapi Gold Project, and stronger international engagement by Ethiopia may help support confidence around the country’s investment environment. While the consultations do not change KEFI’s project timetable, they add useful context around Ethiopia’s efforts to build formal relationships with international partners.

The launch of the political consultations gives Ethiopia and Cyprus a framework for future dialogue on cooperation, investment and bilateral relations.

KEFI Gold and Copper plc (LON:KEFI) is an exploration and development company focused on gold and copper deposits in the highly prospective Arabian-Nubian Shield. The Company operates in Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia with projects including Tulu Kapi project, Jibal Qutman EL and Hawiah.
