HICL Infrastructure Company Limited (LON:HICL), the listed infrastructure investment company advised by InfraRed Capital Partners Limited, makes the following statement regarding the New Investment in the Netherlands, announced on 18 March 2019.

Further to the Group’s investment in the Breda Court PPP Project in the Netherlands, HICL is continuing its partnership with Macquarie in the Netherlands by acquiring certain rights to make an investment in the Blankenburg Connection PPP project. Macquarie, in cooperation with InfraRed’s asset management team, will retain lead responsibility for active management during the construction of the project. Under the arrangement, the Group has committed to invest circa £50m in the form of a deferred equity subscription.

HICL has agreed to sell a portfolio of seven UK PPP assets to APG for around £225m, in line with its March 2025 valuation. Proceeds will support the £150m share buyback programme and meet outstanding equity commitments, bringing total disposals over the past two years to about £725m at strong valuations.
