Further to its announcement on 17 September 2018, boohoo group plc (LON:BOO), the leading online fashion retailer, confirms that John Lyttle has joined as Chief Executive Officer with effect from today, 15 March 2019.

John joins boohoo following an eight year tenure as Chief Operating Officer of Primark Stores Limited, a division of Associated British Foods plc, and one of Europe’s fastest growing and most profitable retail businesses. His appointment is a key constituent of the Group’s strategy in positioning for its next stage of its growth, and coincides with Mahmud Kamani and Carol Kane, previously both Joint Chief Executives, assuming the roles of Group Executive Chairman and Group Co-Founder and Executive Director respectively. As previously announced, Peter Williams has stepped down from his role as non-executive Chairman with effect from today.

The search process to recruit two new independent non-executive Directors is progressing well. A further announcement will be made on appointment of the successful candidates in due course.

boohoo group plc’s next scheduled update is on Wednesday 24 April 2019, when it will announce its final results for the year ended 28 February 2019. An analyst meeting will be held at 9.30am at Buchanan’s offices, 107 Cheapside, London, EC2V 6DN. For further details and registration, please contact Buchanan on [email protected].
