Savannah Resources CEO David Archer, talks about drill programs, early paybacks, the year ahead and why 2015 will be the year for Savannah Resources plc.
AIM listed Savannah Resources Plc (LSE: SAV) is a growth oriented, multi-commodity exploration and development company. The Company is focussed on advancing the Jangamo Heavy Mineral Sands Project in a world class mineral sands region in Mozambique, and two highly prospective copper blocks in mineral rich Oman with the aim of building a global development and ultimately production company.
In addition, Savannah holds a strategic interest in AIM listed Alecto Minerals Plc, which provides exposure to a number of gold projects in Mali, Ethiopia and Mauritania.
David is a non-practising Barrister of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, holds a B.Ec and is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He has had wide experience in the mining industry for over 30 years, with specific expertise in the development and operation of copper/gold projects. David has held executive and non-executive roles in a number of listed companies and has been actively involved in the international resources industry. He is a non-executive Director of Anglo Pacific Group Plc. He is the former Managing Director and Deputy Chairman of Savage Resources Limited, Managing Director of Hillgrove Resources Limited, Executive Chairman of PowerTel Limited and Chairman of Hostworks Group Limited. He was a director of Eastern Star Gas Limited from 2006 to 2009.
